Deb with her parents, Howard and Shirley OgleThis is Deb with her parents, Howard and Shirley Ogle in the Summer of 1967, in Benson, MN where Deb grew up. Her father owned and operated Howard's Produce where he bought and sold poultry, eggs, cream, feed, seed, fertilizer, Butler buildings and Tyler fertilizer spreaders. Her mom was his bookkeeper. They both got real estate licenses and bought, fixed up and sold several homes. They worked hard, played hard and enjoyed life and they gave Deb values and strength that she would draw on during her breast cancer journey.

DebAfter graduating from Macalester College with a major in English and minors in religion and music, Deb pursued a successful career in telecommunications before founding her own company, Positive Connections® in 1985. Following her father's example, Deb has always been an active participant in local and business affairs. This picture is from 1993 and shows Deb accepting the Presidency of the networking group LeTip of York, PA. Activities like this helped Deb develop the communications and networking tools that she's used to share what she's learned from her breast cancer journey with others.

Deb Deb loves to travel. This picture was taken during a 1995 visit to San Francisco on a trip that combined business with visits to several friends. Friends have always been an important part of Deb's life. Friends encouraged Deb to use email to keep them up to date on what was happening with her breast cancer. An ever-widening circle of friends received those emails.

Deb and Bonnie originally met online and quickly became good friends. She an example of the people, all over the country, who took on breast cancer walks and supported Deb in many ways.
